Adaptation and System Structure in Urban Services and Supply Chains

Overview

My research examines urban services and supply chains as operational systems, with a focus on how their structures shape demand patterns, user behavior, and adaptation to changing environments. Drawing on perspectives from Operations Management, I investigate how organizations and service systems respond to shifts in demand, supply constraints, and broader environmental changes.

More specifically, my research covers:

  • The effects of facility location, market entry, and exit on market structure and demand distribution
  • Spatial and temporal dynamics of human mobility and tourism demand
  • Supply chain adaptation and sourcing reallocation under supply constraints
  • Theoretical models of demand forecasting and inventory management

I approach these topics through a combination of empirical analysis and analytical modeling.
